Morgan has experience in criminal, civil, appellate, and policy matters. Before joining Perry Law, she worked on matters involving government transparency, freedom of the press, election law, civil rights, and constitutional law.

While at Yale Law School, Morgan worked in the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic, where she litigated against the U.S. Department of State over Freedom of Information Act violations and challenged the Mayor of Jersey City’s retaliatory removal of a journalist from its press list. She also drafted a white paper developing litigation strategies to address election disinformation, initiated cases challenging federal labor gag rules, and drafted an amicus brief supporting journalists’ access to areas subject to federal drone bans.

Morgan previously interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where she worked on police misconduct, human trafficking, and public integrity cases. She also served as a judicial intern to Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, researching and drafting memoranda in civil and criminal matters.

Morgan served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal and Yale Law & Policy Review, participated in the Morris Tyler Moot Court of Appeals, and served as a Coker Fellow for Professor Jack Balkin. She also conducted research for Professors Amy Chua and Robert A. Post, contributing to the Restatement (Third) of Torts: Defamation and Privacy.

Morgan will clerk for federal judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She holds a B.A. with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University, where she double majored in Government and Economics and minored in Law and Society, and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
